When:
Saturday, May 30th, 10:00 AM
Where: NE and NW corners of Kale and Bayne. Please park 1 block south, in the Hammond Elementary School parking lot.
Why: To give back to the community that supports us by painting the fences on Kale Street
Who: Hammond students, staff, parents, and YOU!
Parents, students, community members, businesses.....we need you!
The students at Hammond Elementary are dedicated to helping out in the
community and they are thrilled at the opportunity to give back, by helping clean up the graffiti in
our neighborhood.
On Saturday, May 30th the entire community will be
working together to paint the exterior fences along Kale Street, as well as
clean up the general area. We are working with the City of Salem Police
Department, Marion County Sheriff, and the City of Salem Graffiti Abatement Program to make this
a success. We hope to have them join us on this memorable community
event.
We want anyone and everyone in the community to be a part of this project,
to send a positive message about our neighborhood.
Thanks to our local business partners, including Kale Farms, Hayesville McDonalds, Roth's, and the Keizer
Station Starbucks, we have enough paint to complete the project. We are
still looking for enough painting supplies, including: brushes, rollers, roller
tins, plastic sheeting, clean buckets, and rags. If you can help us in
any way, please let us know.
If you would like to volunteer, donate supplies, or help in any way, please contact us.
